Release Strategy

“If I have a great song, my job is easy; if I have a good song, my job is impossible.” - Jonathan Daniel / Crush Management

It all begins with great music and a powerful narrative.

Next, I build a plan with these 5 things:

1. Goals

2. Narrative

3. Audience

4. Release Cadence

5. Strategy

It all starts with great music but consistency and creative is key.

Understanding the work

• My experience, relationships, knowledge base and time is my value.

• Every client is unique. Brands and start-ups need great partners to amplify their message. Some managers or artists need help with the basics while others are filling up arenas and need help with strategy, project management or an extra set of hands.

• The music business has a 93% failure rate if you’re only looking at ROI. There is typically very little revenue in physical sales and streaming for a developing or middle-class artist so the focus has to be more holistic. You must have a plan for other revenue streams like publishing, touring, merch, neighboring rights, synch, experiences, Twitch, loops / beats, brand partnerships etc.

• I typically have weekly calls with my clients.

Monthly Retainer

• I work on a monthly retainer and I never take a percentage of anything on the backend.

Happy to talk through this with you and answer any questions you have.
